Registration notes: The Embroiderers Guild has worked tirelessly since 1906 to bring the embroidery community together, promote and preserve this beautiful craft and the people who create it. The colours of the tartan celebrate the Guild's work past and present, incorporating the colours associated with the guild - red, black and white. The tartan was designed and gifted to the Guild by Emma Wilkinson - a guild selected graduate, scholar and member who wished to thank the Guild for their ongoing support in her career in tartan design, kiltmaking and embroidery. The tartan will be woven and used to create products for all the guild members to enjoy, bring the members together and raise funds to continue the good work of the guild.
