Registration notes: ‘Vincere Ad Astra’ translates to ‘conquering the stars’. The is intended to celebrate the pursuit of discovery and knowledge in outer space. Colours: yellow, representing gold, is intended to symbolise the promise and possibilities in outer space and the wealth of knowledge and ground-breaking discoveries awaiting us; white is intended to represent diplomacy, and the need for collaboration; purple pays homage to the Scottish designer's heritage and Scotland’s Space ambitions; green is intended to represent our Earth and how space exploration must be sustainable and responsible; blue is intended to signify the Kármán line, the ethereal boundary where earth's atmosphere surrenders to the vast expanse of outer space and the stars above and black is intended to represent a gaze into the abyss of the unknown, beckoning the viewer to explore uncharted territories and unravel the mysteries of the universe.
