Registration date: 15 August 2023
Category: Fashion
Restrictions: Yes. The designer requests that anyone who would like to use/weave this tartan makes a donation to an environmental or social charity - stating 'Changing Climate (Tartan)'.

Registration notes: The Changing Climate tartan is intended to represent the implications of the changing climate in recent years - rising temperatures, more extreme storms and precipitation and fiercer forest fires - in the use of colours and arrangement of the pattern. Colours: yellow is intended to represent the burning sun, forest fires and rising temperatures; the five blue and four brown stripes are intended to represent swirling streams of water, gale-force winds and storms; green, brown and black is for trees and crops, types of soil and ’temperaments’ which, on the one hand, ravaged by drought, fires and precipitation, change colour, but on the other hand, thanks to the power of nature, are also able to recover.
