Registration notes: Glasgow was the first city in the UK to recognise the importance of academic meetings to the city's global reputation by launching the first Conference Ambassador Programme in 1990. In celebration of the 30th anniversary, the Glasgow Convention Bureau designed the Glasgow Conference Ambassador tartan. The design incorporates the brand colours of the city's prestigious academic institutions. The tartan was produced using traditional methods, woven in Scotland.
