Registration notes: This tartan has been designed to commemorate Everett and Julene Summerfield's life-long commitment to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and to demonstrate their pride in their name. Blue represents the many waters and skies which the family has known; red recalls the red serge of the RCMP and the Canadian flag; green represents family links with Cape Breton Island; yellow is a reminder of the wheat fields in Alberta and Saskatchewan; black and white are reminders of good and bad times as well as representing the strength and loyalty of the family.
