Registration notes:	Designed by Ramsay Johnstone of Edinburgh Woollen Mill. worn by athletes in parade. Still a popular fashion tartan in 1994. This entry incorporates the threadcount from #621 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) which the Tartans Society entry said was the weft of the tartan. #621 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) notes read as follows: Designed by Ramsay Johnstone of Edinburgh Woollen Mill. worn by the 230 athletes and the officials in the parade. The colours depict the blue of the Scottish flag, the white the running lanes on the track, and red the finishing tape at the end of each race. Still a popular fashion tartan in 1994. #621 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) used Royal Blue as the ground colour whereas 1892 for the warp used light blue. Needs resolving by looking at a woven sample.
