Registration notes: No other details. A sample at Kilbarchan Weaver's Cottage shows a very large sett with the thread count for each blue being 60. Also appears in Clans Originaux (Montgomerie) - checked by Brian Wilton of the Scottish Tartans Authority June 2004. Scottish Tartans World Register - See Elphinstone. The Setts No 198. D.C Stewart. The registration criteria now applied by the Register conforms to the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008. These criteria are different to those previously applied by either the STA or the STWR. You may wish to refer to the STA website for further information on the original recording of this tartan.
