Registration notes:	Designed for the New York State Fire Prevention & Control Office Pipe Band (New York State Fire). It was important to the Office and band members that the tartan included the colours of New York State, blue and gold, due to the long and respected history New York has with Scottish tartans and pipe bands. These colours have woven with those traditionally recognized as being associated with firefighting and fires worldwide; black, grey, red and yellow. The design incorporates a band of red, yellow and black on a black background to provide reference to the work of the office as investigators after the fact.
