Registration notes: The Scottish village of Twechar, located in East Dunbartonshire, has a strong history in coal mining and service in the armed forces. The colours have been selected to remind current and former residents of their home and proud history. The people of Twechar generally live their entire life in the village, and those who do leave are known to call Twechar their home and return to the village when they can.
