Registration notes:	The Devlin family's Scottish base of Pitlochry is marked by the broad purple band from the town's district tartan. The black tramlines are also part of the Campbell of Argyle tartan with which the family is associated. At the time of registration, Godfrey is the holder of the feudal Barony of Gogar and the three blue bands represent the mullets on his arms: the arms were differenced from the earliest record of those registered in the name Devlin in Ireland. Some numerical elements have also been included in the design: the broad purple band has 30 threads that celebrate 2019 as Godfrey and his wife Alison's 30th wedding anniversary. The narrower purple bands have 8 threads for the 8th month of the year, marking the common birthday that Godfrey and son James celebrate every 29th August.
