Registration notes: Created to honour the memory of the designer’s father, Charles McAlister, after learning they have Scottish heritage and are descendants of the Viking Celtic hero, Somerled. The colours are inspired by Somerled’s life and legacy.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
