Registration notes: Stand Up! Records is an independent comedy record label based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formed by Dan Schlissel in the year 2000, from his former music record label, -ism, founded in 1992. This tartan was designed to commemorate: the label's first visit to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first -ism Recording’s release, Dan Schlissel's wife's Scottish heritage and his medical recovery in November of 2015. The colours: red, black and tan from Stand Up! Records logo, as designed by Shepard Fairey; blue of the Israeli flag to symbolize Dan Schlissel’s Jewish heritage and grey representing silver for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of -ism Recordings.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
