Registration notes: A personal tartan for the use of the descendants of Raymond Gordon Clark Senior, born 7 June 1896, Washington, D.C., died 10 November 1991, Washington, D.C. It is loosely based upon the Gordon Highlander’s Black Watch tartan because his mother was a Gordon. The colours have personal significance: red denotes his service in the Artillery during World War 1 and for his son's and grandson's service in the US Army Engineers; yellow represents his two daughters; white for his son; green represents his wife's Irish descent; blue for his descendants who served in the Air Force and Navy.
