Registration notes: A personal tartan commission as a gift for Abbie from her father Alistair which celebrates their Buchan heritage and Abbie’s future. The design is based on the Buchan tartan sett. The colourations used are of personal significance to Abbie, Alistair and their family: the predominant colour black is for the Cuillin of Skye; blue to remember Alistair’s hometown of Peterhead in north east Scotland; brown and green are the eye colours of Abbie and her sister Ellie; purple represents Abbie’s joy, youthful enthusiasm and energy; grey for the maturity of their family.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
