The Tartan can only be ordered with a letter of authority from the Commissioner of the Fire Service.

Registration notes: This tartan was designed to complement the dress uniform tunics worn by the NSW Rural Fire Service Pipes and Drums Band Brigade based in New South Wales, Australia. The colours selected have personal significance for this Fire Service: red represents fire; yellow for the volunteers; blue for water; black for the ashes which are left behind after the fire.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
