Registration notes:	This tartan was designed by Robert K. Jones of Rablogan Castle of Scotland, which is a Scottish speciality shop located in Manchester, Vermont in America. The purpose of the tartan was to establish a brand for the company and to support the company’s mission to promote Scottish culture in all its aspects as well as to reflect the heritage of its owners. The colours were selected by the designer, a keen night photographer, to reflect a walk into the Highlands under the night sky. The design perspective was scaled to place appropriate emphasis on each facet of such a walk. The colours are of personal significance to the designer: black to represent the company and the raw earth, the foundation upon which Scotland stands; purple (magenta) for the vast swaths of heather in the Scottish Highlands and a colour totally synonymous with Scotland; dark green for the forests; deep blue for the night sky; reds reflect the essence of the Highlands flowing in the veins of the designer and the company’s owners.

Woven Sample:	A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
