Registration notes: A corporate tartan designed for Black and Lizars Ltd, a company that was established back in 1830 when John Lizars, at the age of 20, opened his first optical practice in Glasgow's Merchant City. Since then, Black and Lizars has become one of Scotland's largest independently owned optometrists with over 185 years' experience in delivering outstanding eye care. The tartan colours of Black and Deep Red represent the founders of the company (Messrs Black and Lizars), the dark grey is a solid and stable colour that embodies the company's heritage and long standing while the bright red signifies the company's pioneering spirit.
