Registration notes: A personal family tartan for the designer’s Highland Dancing daughter, and to honour current and past family members and their Scottish ancestors. Colours: rust represents Autumn in Canada and the colour of hair in the family line; turquoise is for the Atlantic Ocean, connecting Scotland to Nova Scotia; blue is for the flags of Scotland and Nova Scotia; green is for the highlands of Scotland and the mountains of Cape Breton; white represents the snow that covers the Rocky Mountains.
