Registration notes:	Northern Kentucky University students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters were challenged by the Office of Marketing and Communications to select an official NKU Tartan to supplement and enhance the University’s apparel and accessory options. More than 2,000 people voted in an online poll conducted in the summer of 2016, overwhelmingly selecting a black-on-gold pattern over a gold-on-black alternative. The Northern Kentucky University Tartan will be woven into fabrics appropriate for a variety of uses, including apparel, accessories, decorative items, and more. NKU’s official colors were changed from gold and white to black and gold as part of a comprehensive rebranding that began in 2014.
