Registration notes: With the Chief as the impartial referee, arbitration was a familiar part of Scottish clan culture from the middle ages. One of the oldest such clans was Clan Dònnchaidh or Robertson. The ICCA corporate colours have been introduced into this 1819 Robertson tartan together with the light blue of the YOUNGICCA and the dark blue of the oceans to highlight the ICCA;s global reach. The organisation is an NGO officially accredited by the United Nations whose corporate colours are also an integral part of the tartan.
