Tartan Details - Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance

The information held within The Scottish Register of Tartans for the "Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance" tartan is shown below.

Reference: 11396
Designer: Wilton, Brian
Tartan date: 01/06/2013
Registration date: 29 October 2015
Category: Corporate
Restrictions: Yes. This tartan is the copyright of SCAA and must not be offered for sale, woven or reproduced in any form without their express permission.

Registration notes: Robert the Bruce was crowned King of Scotland in 1306 in Scone and the 18th century Bruce tartan gives the inspiration for this 21st century tartan for the Scone-based Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) - the first of its kind in Scotland. The two predominant elements are blue and white for Scotland's national flag and the white on red - the universal colours of medical aid. Separating those two symbolic elements are the grey and green of the Scottish lansdscape over and through which SCAA flies its rescue missions in all weathers. Donated to SCAA by the Scottish Tartans Authority.
