Registration notes: This tartan was designed by Lanora Davidson, the owner of Things Celtic in Austin, Texas, and manufactured by House of Edgar in Scotand. She took her inspiration from the bold colours of the Texas state flag: blue for loyalty; white for purity; red for bravery; gold for fringing on a flag on the stage of her school auditorium. Lanora Davidson is fifth generration Texan of Scottish descent and. her Texan ancestors have included ranchers, bankers, roughnecks; a teacher, preachers and politicians. Things Celtic has been selling Scottish and Irish imports since 1997 and is the exclusive source for the Texas Lone Star Tartan.
Woven Sample: A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
