The tartan’s name is made up from: Thuban, a star in the constellation of Draco, the north pole star in ancient times, and Ayllu, a Quechuan word representing kinship. Designed, using the Scotweb tartan designer.

Woven Sample:	A woven sample of this tartan has been received by the Scottish Register of Tartans for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
