Restrictions: Yes. This tartan is only for the use of the Brethren of Liberte and Progress Blue Lodge, the Brethren of Le Buisson Ardent Blue Lodge and the Brethren of Rigueur Amitie Respect Esprit Blue Lodge. Brethren and sisters of Non-Dogmatic or Liberal Lodges are authorised to use it and even wear it.

Warp and weft must be interchanged in the case that a table runner, scarf or an apron is woven so that the black and white rectangle is vertical or lengthwise.

Registration notes: This sett was requested by the RW Master of the designer's Mother Lodge after he gave a lecture about tartan in Coutance in 1987. Colours: the ground colour is a very light blue as are the walls of Blue Lodges; the red, green and blue stripes represent the columns of the Second Warden, the First Warden and the central blue pillar the RW Master of the Lodge; added to the RGB are white and yellow for the sun and the moon, the setsquare and the compass. At the pivots there is a white and black pavement following the teaching of Hugh Cleide and Peter Gower.
