Registration notes: Trinity College in the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was founded in 1852 by Bishop John Strachan, who was born in Aberdeen in 1778, moved to Upper Canada in 1799, and founded the University of King's College (later the University of Toronto) in 1827. The colours chosen for the tartan reflect the official colours of Trinity College, as well as those of St Hilda's College, our sister foundation, with which we affiliated by Charter in 1890.
