The information held within The Scottish Register of Tartans for the "MacPerl Dress (Personal)" tartan is shown below.

Designer: Marco Permutti

Registration date: 14 December 2009

Registration notes: The design uses the colours of Perlmutter (mother of pearl) family crest: blue, gold and pearl grey. The white lines represent the pearls, the deep blue background symbolises the family's deep European roots and a strong connection to the sea as well as a reference to the designer's mother's family name "von Meer" (of the sea). The slight off-centre placement of the thin white line alludes to the Von-Meer family motto "semper in motu" (always in motion). The gold, standing for prosperity and endurance, rounds off the design.
Registrant details: Mr Marco Permutti, 36 Billy-Wilder-Promenade, Berlin, Berlin, Germany, 14167
